The main aim of the game is to compose a new word, adding only one letter to the already existing letters on the board. The longer this composed word, the more point this player receives.

It is possible to play against computer, as well as against another player.

The program involves a big database of words, with the help of which every player’r move is checked. If during the game the word with unknown meaning appears, it is possible to activate the in-built dictionary Mac OS very quickly.

Being easy the game at the same time requests the skill to cover many variants of the vast vocabulary and besides it, this game is rather excitable. Only after some sets the beginner can understand the game is deeper, than it seems ex facte, and involves the elements of puzzle and strategy.

"Baldatron" can also become the best educational instrument, with the help of which you can easily improve your vocabulary of the foreign or mother language.

Rules of game

Two persons or a person and computer can take part in this game.

The game is played on the board of 5x5, 7x7 or 9x9 cells.

At the beginning of the game the word is occasionally arranged on the game board. Every letter of the word is in the separate cell.

The players move by turns. During his move the player has to arrange a new letter to the free cell. A letter can be arranged only in the cell, which has the already full neighbor cell right, left, up and down. Every free cell can involve only one latter.

After the letter is added into the board, it is necessary to compose a new word. The word is composed by the way of moving to the adjoining cells, situated at right angles to each other. The word has to obligatorily involve a letter arranged on the board. One cell can’t be involved twice into a word.

The composed word has to be involved into the vocabulary and it has to be a common noun in the initial form (Singular and Nominative case or Plural and Nominative case, in that case when this word doesn’t have Singular).

It is impossible to repeat the words that have been already composed in the following game.

If the composed word meets all mentioned above requirements, the player gets some points. One point for every letter.

The game finishes when all cells of the board are filled or if the players aren’t able to move. The winner is a person who has receive more points.
